Yes it was designed in 1942 yet this class continues to develop and evolve. It may not be pretty but you can’t argue with the success of the Optimist class globally and the number of Olympic sailors who are ex Opti sailors. Now when I saw this, it kind of freaked me out because it’s not everyday you see an optimist with a pole out the front with a spinnaker flying.

Thanks Michael. That must have been a site a Topper with a kite. I once saw a mate bend his Laser mast by trying to scale it and hanging on too long.
